Healthy Easy Recipe is a cooking app that provides recipes to cook. It has a search feature, favorite recipes and shopping list function.

Brief

In UI design class my project was to redesign the App Healthy Easy Recipes.

Healthy Easy Recipes is a very long generic name. Along with creating a new look and feel for this app, it has been renamed Foodified.

Challenges

Search is hard to use and filters don’t seem to work.

Shopping/Grocery List No way to save all the ingredients to a grocery list. Interface not intuitive.

Favorites Once a recipe is selected as a favorite the grocery list feature is unavailable. Interface overall look Messy and often type is hard to read. Photos take a long time to load and all show the same bad art as loading. Recipes do not guide the user through steps. Poorly designed icons.

Search Feature

Provide an easy to use search feature that selects recipes based on ingredients, meal type, cuisine, cooking time, and cost per serving.

Task Flow

Janet wants to make something for dinner with the chicken or fish. Her task is to find a recipe that she wants to make.
